This happened in mid-May of this year. My school had just finished with it’s finals weeks and it was the few days of the year as people moved out and waited for their results. I was living with 4 other guys in a house; Matt, Mike, David and Jamie. They don’t really matter except for that Jamie had started dating Autumn who lived in a house with 5 other girls, Amanda, Michelle, Vivian, Nicole and Katie. Our houses were on the same street so slowly because Jamie and Autumn, our friend groups had slowly started to overlap. Interestingly, Katie and I had known each other before our friends had started dating, and…. we hated each other’s guts.
We were both engineering majors and in Greek Life so those friend groups overlapped as well. I was a Turkish immigrant from NYC, 5’5″ with dark olive skin and the attitude of a stereotypical New Yorker. She was a 5′ 7″ redhead from some sleepy town in New England where she was clearly the hottest girl in town and so had an attitude that I found prissy.
