>’I haven’t been able to write in some time, due to other dedications, however I haven’t forgotten my Maid, her Master and the Mistress. These three characters are intertwined within an ever developing mystery. I am growing quite attached to the young maid and find many of my own qualities within her: the want to please, the need of attention and the turmoil when both are not returned. Within this extract the family has been invited to a garden (or not so) party by the lovely lady Eversham, although don’t think that protects our little maid from the advances of her beast like master. I hope you enjoy it and I shall endeavour to write more.’
Stepping from the stuffy carriage the maid gratefully clasped hold of the masters outstretched, gloved, hand, breathing in the fresh country air. She looked around to see her charges already picking their way up the long country path, trees bowed deeply down along the route as though accepting the duty of protecting their human charges from the rain. Their green leaves trapped the light from the autumn sun translating it’s glow into a dull hue and allowing the odd drip to fall upon their heads.
