A simple story of a Maid and her Master.

The morning sunlight warmed the hallway of the mansion. Poking through the clouds, the rays of light landed on a young maid looking out a window. Her short blonde hair shimmering as a small smile sat on her face as she looked over the garden and courtyard. Noticing the rain clouds begin to form, that smile grew. The mansion’s wings formed a “U” shape around the courtyard and it’s fountain, leading to a garden at the end of the wings. Admiring the view, her eyes’ glazed over as if in deep thought.

Fluttering her eyes, she turned her attention over to the coffee maker. Picking up the decanter, she proceeded to grab a black tray along with the sugar, spoon and a mug. Balancing them, she proceeded to walk down the hallway wing, the sound of her small heeled shoes clacking and echoing down the silent corridor. Doors passed on her left as the sun shown through the large windows on her right. Reaching the end of the hallway, she came to a set of large doors. Taking a breath, she knocked twice and spoke just loud enough so occupants might hear her, “Master? I brought your coffee.””Come in” a man voice responded.
