I was usually out with my friends on a Friday but due to this quarantine we’ve all been pretty trapped. Mom was at her essential job and once again I was alone at home. My deadbeat dad was long gone and no use to us, leaving me as man of the house. Barely turning twenty-one this month I was already doing a better job than him. I’m very handy and can fix or construct about anything compared to him. Mom’s always got some sort of task for me to complete and I’m always more than happy to help.
Early this morning before her shift, she left me a note explaing how her dresser drawer had been jamming up and she would like it if I could try and fix it. I figured I’d get it done early so I could relax a bit by the pool today. I grabbed my tool bucket and headed upstairs. It was fairly unusual for her to be asking me to go into her room as it has always been a “No Go Zone” my whole life.
