I imagined you here today.
I’m just in my usual Sunday spot (the book store) while I wait to pick my dtr after she finishes volunteering at the animal shelter.
I look good today— wearing that green dress with polka dots. I’ve caught the eyes of several men on my hips or on the slight amount of cleavage I’m showing.
I imagined you here when I was getting out of my car, loading my son’s car seat into his stroller. A car pulled past me, and I smiled, throwing a “what if” out into the world.
What if that had been you, stopping in to pick up a new book for… someone.
I’d give you a sly smile as you called out a “Well shiiiiit, if it isn’t my old friend…” I’d tell you what a nice surprise it is to run into you, and I’d step over to give you a hug.
As you hugged me, I’d hear you growl into my ear just how sexy I look right now. My body would immediately respond to that as you pulled away.
