When I was 26, I was a marine corporal and got the opportunity as a marine to go to army airborne school. Its essentially fancy falling from 1000 feet with a parachute. The school’s easy but boring. Monday through Friday, depending on the phase, you are jumping off things and falling and on the weekends your free. For the most part not much happens on base so the key is to get off base as quickly as possible. This particular Saturday I wasn’t feeling it and got stuck.
Enter Holly. In the barracks there was a small common area with a TV where you could hang out. I think I had a book and was chilling on a couch. I noticed this cute army girl glancing my way. Being a marine on an army base has its benefits. I knew this girl had got in trouble. She wasn’t actively training, but sometimes you don’t ask questions if you get my drift.
