They pulled up to her house, snow drifting slowly to the ground outside. He turned off the car and turned towards the passenger seat where she was sitting.
“I had fun tonight,” he said “I’ll walk you to the door.” A smile that reached up into his dark eyes spread across his face as she nodded back to him in agreement.
They got out, snow crunching softly beneath their feet. The creaky gate opened and closed as they walked to the back of the building where she lived. The walkway was narrow, so she led the way to the door. Upon reaching it, she turned around only to be met by his face moving swiftly towards hers. One of his hands wrapped around the small of her back, while the other cradled the back of her head, moving it ever so slightly towards his in a soft but firm grip. The kiss caught her off guard at first, but as the initial surprised wore off, she surrendered herself to his lips. She couldn’t say how long it lasted, only that it wasn’t long enough.
