“The baby is down for the night babe; I’m going to take a shower and then how about you meet me upstairs in about 45 minutes.” Sara said to her husband as she peeked around the corner into the kitchen where her husband is eating a cookie. “Hey, save some of those for me too!”

Nick looks up with a grin “You don’t need any cookies you are already sweet enough.”

“HA, HA, HA! Save me some cookies and meet me upstairs NAKED in 45 minutes! Love you.” She says with a cute grin at the end. Sara then spins around and runs up the stairs. Nick turns around laughing, taking a bite of his second cookie and starts to head toward the family room.  Read more »

“Are you ready baby?” Nick yelled up the stairs to his wife.

“Almost! Do we really have to go to this party? I always feel awkward at them. I never have anything in common with anyone.” 

“Yes, sorry, we only have to say for a little while, I promise!” Nick picked up Sara’s hands and kissed them as she was coming down the stairs. “I just need to show my face, say my hellos and we can leave. One hour, two tops.”

“Okay, I’m giving you an hour and a half and then I’m done!” Sara said with a smile and a slight laugh. She knew this was part of Nicks job. He had to shmoos with the big wigs at his job and she needed to help out by mingling with all the significant others that were tagging along also.  Read more »

**The Babysitter**

Sara opened the front door and almost fell inside, tripping over her high heels. “Whoa, Babe!” Nick said laughing as he grabbed her arm to catch her. “You don’t want to wake up the baby.” It was their anniversary and they were able to get Violet, the neighbor’s daughter, to watch their son for them.  Sara was very excited to be able to go out. She felt like it had been so long since they were able to go out just the two of them. So excited that she might have over done it a little bit. She was so busy getting everything together for the babysitter, doing her make-up and getting dressed in her cutest little black dress, that she didn’t even eat lunch before they had left. When she drank that first long island iced tea it went straight to her head. She ate a good dinner but combined with the-second-long island, she was good and gone.   Read more »
