I work in a clothing store. I’m not going to give the specific name for obvious reasons… But let’s call it Forever 22 just for fun. Those of you who have worked retail know that most of the time, it’s either boring as shit or busy as hell. They give me a decent amount of hours though, pay me decently, and I like that my boss is understanding about my schedule at school.
We mostly see teenage/early twenties women shopping with friends or while dejected parents wait outside. Moms come in plenty, Dads are most often sitting on the bench outside our store. Edgar ended up being an exception to that rule. He was playing the “cool single dad” role for his daughter who’s in her late teens. I showed them around the store a little bit, and pointed his daughter in the direction of several things in her style. He ended up coming back over to chat with me when she was in the change room trying on a few things. The conversation was very professional initially, he asked me about a few different dresses she said she might need different sizes in, and we just small-talked until she came out to join him.
