True story written from a narrators perspective. Wanted to give it a go, so please let me know what you all think :) new to writing.
There’s nothing on this earth more palpable than the moment just before you kiss someone for the very first time. It’s in that moment where your surroundings go hazy, your heart sits uncomfortably in your mouth, you’re riddled with the anxiety of rejection, yet nothing else matters once you’re in that moment because you’re dying to kiss them, you might die if you don’t, and you hope to god you don’t get interrupted by indigestion. In that moment, there are no consequences, just carnal desire which sits at the basal level of your being.
It was a particularly agonising and drawn out moment for Cora and Adam, so much so that they could have cut the tension with a butter knife and packaged it up for their sandwiches later, if they weren’t so caught up in each other’s gaze. They are two people who definitely shouldn’t kiss.
