Long time lurker, first time poster. This just happened earlier in the week, 2 days ago. Still very fresh in my mind and I definitely recommend attempting to write your best experiences ASAP after the event because I definitely got off multiple times from writing this, it almost felt like I was reliving it.
Our group of friends decided to take a trip down to Melbourne (from Sydney), and the last night we decided to all get our own nice rooms in a fancy hotel (instead of the average one we stayed at the rest of the trip). It was Chanel’s birthday and her parents, who we’ve heard are pretty loaded, gave her quite a bit of money to work with for her 23rd birthday. We’re all around the same age (23-25) but Chanel is the youngest.
Everyone was having a great time at the hotel bar – sharing each other’s drinks, trying new drinks, drinking a little too much in general.
Alex was immediately drinking too much; buying drinks 2 at a time from the start of the night. Chanel and Edward were catching up from the last time they saw each other and sharing university stories. Sharon and myself clicked right away almost like usual, but a little more so tonight somehow – maybe it was because we were drinking the same wine.
