I’ve always had a thing for smart girls, and Sarah was one of the wittiest girls I had ever spoken to. We had met for all of 2 minutes, after matching on bumble. She had mentioned she was going on her first camping trip that weekend and didn’t have any gear. Luckily, I happened to have several things she needed, and even though we had only been talking online for a few days, I was drawn to her energy. I took a gamble, offered to let her borrow some things, and she took me up on the offer. So the very first time we met was in a parking garage at my office, she parked next to my car, we hugged, chatted for a minute, and loaded gear into her car.
*Bold, I know, I sure hoped I would see my camping gear again… and her, obviously her*
A week later I did in fact get my gear back and asked if she wanted to hang out with me. It was 2016, and the presidential race was pure chaos. We had deep and stimulating discussions around ideas and politics and I thought it would be fun to watch the debate together and… discuss it.
