The alarm sounds loudly as I’m startled awake. Monday morning has arrived and I miss the weekend already. I begrudgingly throw the covers back and think to myself how nice it would be to stay in this warm bed all day. Those feelings only grow stronger as I look over at you laying next to me. The weekend was fun, but now it’s back to the rat race. I climb out of bed and go to quickly take a shower. When I get back to the bedroom, I find you waking.
Walking over to your side of the bed, I lean down and softly kiss you on the lips. “Good morning,” I say as I grab my clothes and start to get dressed. You watch me for a minute or two then get out of bed yourself. I’m in awe of your naked body in morning sunlight that pours through the open window. You gently touch my arm and give me a peck on the cheek as you pass by me on your way to the bathroom now, shutting the door behind you. I finish getting dressed as I dread heading to the office.
