Ever since we went through puberty my sister Ellie and me have had, although “secretly” until New Year’s, a thing for each other. I say “secretly” with quotation marks because it was pretty bloody obvious for anyone who can read body language and voice tones, and I say it was only a secret “until New Year’s” because… well, you’re about to know.
Ellie and I are only a couple of years apart, so we’ve always felt very connected to each other. Same tastes in music, movies, books… on sports we’re two worlds apart but you get the idea. And we’ve always gotten along with such little fighting and drama that it’s odd; I don’t know any other pair of siblings that gets along this well. We would often play and wrestle and get physical, and I could easily pick her up and take her anywhere. I didn’t see how lucky I was about it a few years ago, but now I realize I’m incredibly fortunate.
