A few years ago I had recently became unemployed and was due to start on a computer course, one of those things that “will look good on a cv”, that type of thing. When I arrived I took a seat at a computer along with a few others that had arrived before me. Before it began I exchanged pleasantries and got talking to a girl next to me. She was a short girl, very boyishly dressed and had shoulder length brown hair that she kept back in a ponytail and she was shy, very shy and a bit secluded it seemed. With no offence intended I was thinking that she wasn’t a girl that people would look at twice but there was something nice about her, I wasn’t quite sure how to explain it but she was someone I wanted to get to know. Despite her shyness she seemed happy for the conversation and during that course session I got to know quite a lot about her: her name (Michelle) her age, where she lived, what she liked to do, that kind of thing. She also told me her sexual orientation as well (she was bisexual) and that she’d recently split up from her girlfriend Jennifer. After the course was done for the day we said our goodbyes and agreed to add each other on Facebook.
