It is 2:38 AM.
Ethan parks his old, shoddy car outside a small house in the suburbs.
Times have been rough for him. He got fired from his job after a weed incident, and with the financial trouble that followed, his girlfriend left him.
He did his best to save up, to make ends meet, but as he was reaching the third and final deadline to pay his rent, he had no choice but to resort to crime.
Ethan is not an intimidating man, nor is he strong. He would not dare rob people at gunpoint. His best option seems to be burglary.
And so, with a balaclava over his head and a backpack around his shoulder, he hops out of the car and approaches his target, the small, dimly lit house in front of him.
This is his first hit, and so he chose to go for something modest, with little security. From what information he managed to gather from the scouting operation he conducted yesterday, a college girl lives here all on her own, and tonight she’s out for a party.
