disclaimer: i’m not proud that this happened, but it did and i’m ultimately glad it did.
i met G through my best friend, E. G was her college crush. but somehow G and i never crossed paths, despite them being close and all of us being 10 years post grad. G and E were still friends. she had a long standing crush on him, but was in a committed relationship with a guy for a couple years at that point.
E came to visit me (i had left our hometown), and said G was coming to the area as well and needed a place to crash. she asked if he could stay at my place as well- she wanted to indulge in spending time with her crush. i lived in a studio. i protested, but she was still crushing on him and i gave in.
i met G, picking him up from the airport. i was done. fly as fuck, tall, blue green eyes, brown hair tinged with a little gray. he shook my hand i felt electric. we all spent a few days together, i showed them around, we drank, blah blah. me and G would talk all night while E slept. he was feeling me. hardcore. but i kept it light.
