What can I get you, sir?” asked the bartender.
“An old fashioned, please and thank you.” replied the patron.
Lee spent his day running a vaccination clinic for the department of health and now was unwinding for the night at the hotel bar. Cabin 92 was the name of the bar located inside The Lettermen. A now famous hotel on the Circle in Hammons, Georgia. The name of the bar originated from the cabin the Williams family used during the annual Hammons County Fair. The Lettermen was Lee’s favorite spot to stay when he visited Hammons for work or pleasure. The Circle brought back many vivid memories of his time attending Hammons University and Lee always jumped at the opportunity when work needed to send someone to the beautiful town.
“One old fashioned. May I get you anything else?” asked the young bartender
“Just a refill when this gets low, please.” laughed Lee.
“You got it.” The bartender looked to mid twenties. It was common to see graduate students work all over the town. Lee thought to himself that bartending would have made more money than interning at a pharmacy but, in the long run, he made the right decision to get as much experience as possible before graduating.
