An emergency came up at work that forced me to be out of town for a while. I had family in the city I had to work in so it was more of a paid vacation. The last day of my stay, I had grown tired of family so I decided to book an Airbnb instead. Since I was planning on staying for only one night, I tried to book with a new host with a cheap room. The host never confirmed my booking, so I booked the next cheapest thing I could find, which was a little out of my way. This host confirmed right away and we agreed on a check-in time.
I received a call from my cousin asking if I could pick up her boyfriend who was stranded on the side of the road an hour north. I let my Airbnb host that I needed to push out my arrival time and I left work early to go pick him up. After being on the road for nearly four hours, having been up since 4am, and failing to follow through on my plan to not see my family another night, I was beyond aggravated. They asked if I wanted to go inside for some food and I just told them that I wanted to go back to my Airbnb to rest.
