This happened a couple of years ago now, but I felt I’d offer up my own modest story, for everyone to enjoy!
It was September. Summer was winding down. In fact truthfully, summer was gone. This was Ireland after all!
Yet, a group of my friends and their significant others decided it would be a good time to do a road-trip up the west coast of Ireland. Known as the Wild Atlantic Way!
There was 5 of us, my two friends and their girlfriends. So I was a 5th wheel, which was more manageable than a 3rd wheel at least, and we were about mid 20’s at the time.
I’d finished my Masters and was in the middle of looking for a job, so it was perfect time to enjoy myself. The road-trip was the perfect solution, plus as we camped most nights it wasn’t going to break the bank.
The first few days rolled by and we were making steady progress along the coast. Appreciating some of the memories of childhood holidays more than I had at the time. It’s all about the geography, yo! Thankfully Ireland was experience a few good weeks of weather too. There was sunshine and everything!
