I saw her at breakfast. She wore an orange dress that loosely covered her bronze body. Her blonde hair shone in the sunlight and every now and then I noticed her sparkling blue eyes catch a sight at me. I called out to her and asked her where she was staying.
We were on a secluded island off the coast of Cambodia. There was only one boat to the island from the mainland and I hadn’t seen her in my boat. We were among a group of only twenty backpackers. The rest of the island housed a few local families, some scuba divers and English expats.
She said she stayed in a cabin near mine and arrived the previous night. We introduced ourselves to each other. She was from Belgium, she said. We became friends instantly. I invited her to a hike that some friends had planned. She had a quick shower and met me outside the cafe. She had changed into a white see-through dress. I noticed an orange bikini underneath. We began our hike into the hills.
