A few weeks ago, I was entering the office behind a hot Asian guy who held the door open for me. He was very extroverted and we made conversation as we walked: turns out he was an intern here, on summer vacation during college. He picked up on my very slight accent, and it turns out that although he’s Chinese-American, he can speak Mandarin too. I may or may not have flirted with him a little in Mandarin ;) He added me on LinkedIn later that night.
I didn’t think much of it again, until last Thursday at the office, we bumped into each other at the parking lot and had another conversation. Damn, he looked good in his suit. I asked him how the internship was going and he said that the next day (Friday) would be his final day, and he probably wasn’t going to stay on with our company. He said that it was a shame that we never got to chat more often.
The cogs were spinning in my head. This was my last and only chance to see this hottie. I took the risk. “Well nothing’s stopping us. I was just going to cook at home tonight, want to join me?”
