Chapter one
Today was the last day before my vacation. I planned out a solo road trip filled with hiking, eating, shopping, and anything else my single heart desires. Because of this I was working late to get ahead on a few things so that I could fully enjoy my vacation.
“You’re still here? You never work late.”
It was Ryan, my secret work crush. He started working at the same company about a year ago but I’ve only said a handful of words to him.
“Yeah just getting ahead on some work before my vacation.” I replied as casually as I could.
“Well I was just about to order some take out. You want anything?”.
“Um sure” still trying to be cool i agreed even though I was just about to pack up and leave. I was not going to miss out on a chance to talk to Ryan.
