Of How It Began

On that particular day the summer heat was especially grueling. It seemed he always had the worst timing when scheduling these jobs, but he needed this done quickly in order to get home on time today. It was not his largest project by far, but still demanded respect in it’s size and the sheer amount of work to be done. As the noon sun began to set in it’s place, ushering away another scorching southern morning, it seemed a fitting time to take his first break and let his equipment cool down if only for a moment. He let himself in through the back door that connected the kicthen to the deck. It was not unusual for clients to leave at least one way of access to their premises open for him as an escape from the elements.
