My eyes flutter open. It takes a few moments before I remember where I am. Last night is a whirl in my brain and my body wakes up slowly.
Every inch of my skin remembers. My neck and wrists are tight, and I wince as I turn onto my back. The belt has left a heavy throbbing feeling across my ass and thighs. I turn my head and slowly sit up in the crisp white sheets of the hotel bed.
I am alone. Daddy is gone. I push a stray blonde strand of hair behind my ear and lean forward. Did he leave me? I swallow gently and feel my heartbeat heavy in my chest. I close my eyes and try to slow my breathing. He wouldn’t.
Before my mind can spin further, I hear the door to the room open. Daddy appears around the corner as I pull the blanket around my shoulders. He smiles. He is wearing jeans, a light blue shirt and sunglasses. In his hand, he holds too cups of coffee and a brown paper back with a local coffee shops logo on it.
