Fraternization and Fornication

It was the first week working with the oncoming Lieutenant that I had the suspicion that Kayla and I would get along very well. Her professional, yet easy going attitude maintained the same working environment I had grown accustomed to working with David who was rotating back to sea duty.

Case in point was, I had recently shaved my mustache off and both David and Kayla found my appearance to be drastically different. David had asked if it felt different, and I made an off handed comment about only certain activities. The comment passed right over his head but Kayla was quick to mention that she could assume the absence of a “flavor saver” might be detrimental for some guys. And I replied for some women too.

[STR8] [MF] Overtime at the Office

Eddie turned on his computer before starting a pot of coffee. Sundays were always quiet in the office and even though he hated working on Sunday, he knew he could get caught up without the phone ringing off the hook or the department head constantly tasking him.

Taking a sip of coffee, the screen flickers to life and after a few taps of the keyboard, he’s logged in and reviewed old emails and his outstanding tasks.

After his second cup of joe, and an hour later, he was happy with the progress he was making and didn’t think that he’d have to spend as long in the office as he thought.

“Badading” the sound of “Is Available” echoes in his office. Glancing down he sees that Paula had logged into her computer.

Paula and Eddie had history, nothing too exciting but history nonetheless. They had enjoyed going to lunch a few times during the week, and had even seen each other a few times after work as friends, grabbing some coffee or piece of pie from the local diner. He had always wanted the relationship to be more, but because they worked for the same company, and she was ten years younger than him, he never pursued it more than coffee or lunch. [MF] Navy Midwatch

This happened back in the day while I was still in the navy about 25 years ago.

As a young Chief Petty Officer (senior enlisted) I was witnessing the military going through dramatic changes and placing females in more and more complex and combative roles.

By the time these “split tales” were getting to small combatant ships, the Navy, in its infinite wisdom decided that placing a few officers on board first would ease the transition, because everyone knows that a 23 old Ensign fresh from college has all the control and professionalism required to avoid any misconduct.

But we had five females on board, two mid-grade officers and 3 junior officers. How many guys you might wonder? The crew was about 285 so you can do the math of women to men ratio. Now might be a good time to let you know the average age of anyone in our military is under 30.

Introducing Miss Sara Stevens. The BARELY 23 year old checked on board about two months before we deployed and only after she graduated from college not two months prior. This seemingly innocent blonde haired beauty was quickly a focal point for most of the men. Read more »
