Highschool was about to end, and it was at that point where everyone had started making plans for the summer already. Me, being an 18 year old senior, had liked this girl (lets call her Kate), which I was pretty sure she liked me too, well at least that’s what my friends would tell me.
Just as the final bell of the year rang, I couldn’t wait to get out of this school forever as I sprinted out the classroom into the halls to find my friends. However, I happened to see Kate in the hallways alone, and this HAD to be the golden opportunity to ask her out.
I walked up to her, and asked “Hey Kate, would you like to go to the movies sometime during the summer? I just got my license so I can drive us there”. She responded enthusiastically, “of course, how about we go right now”? I thought about the plans I had made with my friends today, but fuck it I was not going to let this opportunity blow by me, so I responded eagerly “I would love to! Want to walk home with me and grab my car”? (since I didn’t have my car at school, but only lived minutes away).
