I knew Ava from my freshman year of college. We got along well because we shared a love of anime and old science fiction movies. Admittedly, she was a little more open about her love of nerd-culture, whereas I was a little more withdrawn because I was into sports, and with that came the ridiculous stigma of, “football players don’t watch Japanese cartoons”. Even though I ran with a kind of ‘in-between’ crowd in school, youthful naivity kept my love of all things nerdy closeted. I had an irrational fear of being socially ‘outed’ because I didn’t know anybody else like me.
When it was time to leave for college, I finally felt free to express myself when I met several like-minded people. Ava caught my eye immediately because she was tan and fit, with jet-black hair chopped at the shoulders. She had a pair of thick, wide hips with an ass and a pair of breasts to match. Despite her physique, she hadn’t been wildly likeable in school. She had run with the nerd-crowd and as a result, didn’t get the recognition she deserved and did not understand how hot she was. Come college-time, she had become full-figured gorgeous. Likewise, despite my sports career, I was equally shy and never hit it off with the ladies, let alone the ‘in-crowd’, and the two of us bonded over our awkwardness. When we first met freshman year of college, we dated for a few months before breaking up and going our separate ways. It was mutual.
