Once upon a time, back in college, before I was married with kids, I met a girl. I didn’t fully appreciate it at the time but Shelley was in many ways quite special. We had a flirty relationship that went on for the better part of our first year at college. At that time she was fully committed to her boyfriend she’d had since highschool who went to a different college and they only got together at holidays. She never did more than flirt with me – or as far as I knew with anyone else – but she and I flirted shamelessly and I always went back to my dorm with a raging hardon and had to seek comfort alone while fantasizing about being with her.
Outside of that, like most other males in college I did my best to score as often as possible with whichever other girls I could find. Whenever Shelley was around though I would always focus on her at whatever party, or pub, we happened to run into each other at – even though I knew nothing would come of it.
