Obligatory this didn’t happen recently disclaimer, it was around two years back.
I started a new job with a great crew of people, average kind of job but the crew really made it fun to go to everyday. They hired a new guy towards the end of the summer as a handyman type guy, he was very friendly and approachable so we knew he’d fit in right away. He had kinda floppy hair, average build and talked too loud and too much when he got really excited about a topic, but he had something special to his smile that lit up his eyes a certain way. He was a little awkward at times and the bosses didn’t really seem to take him seriously but over time they grew to like him. Our work decided to do a bit of a haunted house for Halloween and we dressed up but he didn’t have anything so we just painted his face like a skeleton instead.
