Primal Passion With a Team Lead at Target [MF]

There was a short period where I was in between jobs in my career field for so long that I decided I should just pick up whatever I could get to make ends meet. That lead me to applying to work at Target as part of the flow team – basically the team that stocks the shelves in the morning with items from the morning truck. I felt naturally inclined to try to get more hours in any way I could so I ended up getting trained in as many different work areas as possible. This led to me getting to work with and know pretty much all of the other workers, leads, and higher-ups at my particular Target at the time. I started becoming pretty content with my work, especially when I was promoted to “key” in-stocks team member. This is something that I, later on, realized just meant that I would be the one to count inventory whenever they needed only one person for the task. Nevertheless, it felt good and it seemed like I was on a trajectory to being a team lead especially since I was pushing for and being given responsibilities for tasks in other areas. That is a not-so-interesting story for another day, though.
