It had been an easy day for Sheriff Natalie Smith, a dark skinned young woman with short black hair and hazel eyes, a fairly athletic figure and a bust she was rather proud off. The worst crimes in town had been a couple of speeders and a single shoplifter. Now as she parked in front of her house she was ready for a relaxing bath followed by a couple hours of Netflix.
Her house was located almost twenty minutes out of town and at least five minutes from her nearest neighbors. She’d bought it early into her career, long before she’d been promoted. The only reason she’d been able to afford it was because of a financial reward she received for
providing a tip to the FBI that led to them arresting a teacher in town for several murders. In addition to the financial reward, the arrest had helped boost her career, made her one of the most beloved cops in town, and resulted in her being promoted to Sheriff after only three years on the force.
