Em the Nun

I met Em in August 2016 while I was sharing the gospel on the street. We were both almost 35 years of age. Em was a lesbian (came out as gay when she was 15) and when we met she wore men’s clothes (shirt, jeans, work boots) and had very short blonde hair. The closest way to describe what she looked would be a Tomboy Femme. After a bit of random chit-chat I asked her whether or not she was a Christian and she replied, “I don’t know.” Later she explained to me that she was coming out of a lesbian relationship and was about to repent and give her life to Christ. At that first meeting I asked if I could add her on Facebook and she said, “give me yours and if I find you’re all right, I’ll add ya.” Long story short, after about a week, I saw a friend request from her. We started talking on Messenger and began to cross paths in the city. She developed into a strong Christian very fast and started preaching on the streets. She was living so godly and pure, not even masturbating. I liked Em … a lot. Seeing her being a woman yet doing what most guys couldn’t do, challenged my faith and captivated me. Eventually I told her that I loved her and wanted to marry her. Initially she wasn’t attracted to me … she said I was way shorter than her (she’s 6’1″ and I’m 5’5″), she’s way more assertive and domineering, and I’m not as strong a man to take care of her, plus she was still grappling with her sexual identity even though she was saying that God had changed her desires.
