Her

For all my years upon this beautiful green rock flying through space I've never let myself live more in the moment that one night. I should have known better, to be honest, but it was as if my mind was shut off and quieted by her touch. Nothing had moved or stirred my heart for so long it took me by surprise, so it was inevitable that I go with the flow and let the river take me away lest I drown. When I first saw her I knew I wanted her. The way her smile made her eyes light up, the curve of her lips begging to be kissed as if they were the only ones left in existence. Something in the way she sat, comfortable and confident in herself boiled my blood ever so slightly. This was a woman who had a need and I wanted to be the person to give it to her. That first day she hardly knew me and didn't really seem like she was interested at all. I was just another person in the room full, like a single star in the night. Something happened the next though, I can't quite put my finger on why, perhaps it was the way I was dressed. Being part of the wedding party and wanting to look my best I was dressed out to the nines. I felt good, I looked good so my confidence was palpable and as anyone could see I was on top of the world. Everywhere I walked I caught more than one person stealing glances both men and women alike. It was a glorious feeling to say the least. It was just before the wedding as everyone was getting ready for the ceremony, after I had given up on her almost completely that I saw her steal a look. She was standing at the mirror doing her hair when I watched her eyes greedily take me in from head to toe. As her eyes were coming back up she bite the corner of her lip ever so slightly that I almost missed it. Suddenly our eyes locked for but a brief moment, a moment that felt like an eternity. She turned three shades of red for being caught and tried to casually go back to doing her hair. It was at that moment I really looked at her, the way the dress clung to her body, the shape of her legs, and the soft line of her neck. It took all I had to not slide up behind her and place my arms around her and kiss her neck. Starting slowly from her shoulder and moving towards her ear. Finally I tore my eyes away and went back to getting everyone ready to go. With so much to do she was pushed to the back of my mind, but still there, always just out of sight. Perhaps it was the shot of tequila mixed with the rest of the drinks, maybe it was simply the right place at the right time for all the wrong reasons. I can't say for certain, but without a doubt it would be a night worth remember for a long time. Once the reception was over and all the formalities done it was time to party. With lots of great music and just enough booze for the inhibitions to fall away much like the brides veil on her wedding day. The thrill of a new touch, the electricity that sparks between two people, and the fear of the unknown are what made it a perfect storm. The next thing I know I'm out on the dance floor, pressed body to body from all sides. Everywhere I turned it seemed like she was the only one I could see. As the music played I could only dance, swaying side to side with the beat I found myself more drawn to her. The way she twirled and shook, the way her body moved like a leaf on the wind was mesmerizing. I was like a man possessed as I kept moving towards her and pressing my body against hers. Suddenly I was reaching my hands around her waist from behind and pulling into me and was pleasantly surprised that she didn't resist. In fact, it seemed as if she had been waiting all night for my hands to be placed upon her. She spun around and the smile on her face was mischievous and coy when she suddenly dropped to the floor, her hands on my hips she kept her eyes locked on mine. When she came back up the music died in my ears, and press of bodies faded away to leave only the two of us left in the whole place. I don't know how long we danced. It could have been till the end of time itself and it wouldn't have been long enough. There wasn't anywhere else I wanted to be or anyone else I wanted. My hands agreed with me as they were exploring her body with every chance I had. Every time I thought maybe I had gone to far her hands were pleasantly found to be exploring me with the same reckless abandon. My mind was reeling and my knees almost gave way when she spun around and started to grinding her ass against me. There was no way she could not have felt my excitement as she pressed and grinded harder. Being only human I could hardly take it much longer and had to take a break and thus led her from the dance floor to find some place a little quieter.
