Hey, I’m 20 from England and this story started out a while ago.
Basically me and my mum lived on our own in a small one bedroom flat. This was during the recession that was going on in the UK so my mum got laid off work and was really worried about how she was going to pay for things, rent, food etc.
My dad left when I was 4 and we haven’t heard from him since so we never got any support from him, my mum could claim a certain amount of money from the government but it wasn’t enough to live on.
So my mums boss would come round a lot in the evenings when they thought I was sleeping, I always heard things but never understood what was happening. But a while after this started and my mum was a lot happier and a lot more generous with money.
Eventually her old boss would turn up more often, with friends etc, living in a one bedroom flat obviously there wasn’t much hiding things and as I got older I learned what was happening.
