What seemed like a regular visit to fix a regular problem turned out to be quite extraordinary. A customer called in to complain about a coffee machine that she purchased from us less than a year ago. The machine was reportedly clogged, the water couldn’t come through and essentially couldn’t make coffee. So I was sent to deal with the issue and help this lady out.
I ring the bell and was greeted by a slim middle aged woman with a soothing voice. Elizabeth was wearing a comfortable floral spaghetti top, over a black sports bra. Her cheeks were rosy, and the skin all around her collarbone was glistening. Looks like she just had a workout. “Hello, come in please. Thanks for coming down. Really appreciate it. My husband hasn’t had his morning coffee for a few days now”. She gently tapped on my arm as she ushered me into her squeaky clean apartment.
“Where’s the machine?”, I asked. “It’s behind the counter over there”, she said and closed the door behind her.
I give the machine a few runs, and said jokingly, “You haven’t run the cleaning program at all have you?”. I initiated the self-clean program and popped in some cleaning tablets. “I’m gonna let it run for about 15-20 minutes, and we should be good”.
