“Is it quitting time yet?” I think to myself as I run from one meeting to another. After being deployed overseas for a year, I am playing catch up at my civilian job in downtown Seattle.
It is a crisp February day, and I see the Space Needle peeking
through the leafless trees surrounding our building. I stop to look out a window at the downtown vista, and my mind drifts to my wife Nancy.
Nancy has been through two deployments, always a staunch supporter of me and an amazing mother to our one (hopefully two soon) child. Not only is she a great wife, she is also very easy on the eyes, with a petite but curvy body. She had dropped off our daughter at grandma’s and went to run some errands.
I reach into my pocket for my phone, and send a quick message to her asking how the errands were going. She replies quickly, “Just finished getting waxed ;)”. That wink tells me all i need to know and leaves me wanting more. I compose a quick message in return “Pictures or it didn’t happen! :P”.
