Luisa considered herself a mundane girl. She had grown up in an ordinary family which was well-functioning, at least as much as a girl of 18 years could consider any family in that way. Now that she was permitted to senior high, she moved permanently to the recently inaugurated dormitory of the Simone-de-Beauvoir School. The college was definitely not normal, but what is normal nowadays? No one seemed to care much about her academic track records, everything was about manners and compliance, healthiness and appearances, competition and assessment. She saw through the charade of subordinating everything to healthiness; all they cared about was beauty.
Judging from the outfit they had sent to her, this year the girls would become increasingly objectified. Luckily she was brave enough to oppose the one she received, as it was undersized around her buttocks. Was her objection successful because she could justify her arguments on the pro-code? Or was she just privileged due to her background and the flawlessness of her performances? Anyways, the new dress was now sitting in the box, unopened beside the mirror.
