So to start this off, I feel obligated to say that I’ve been a long-time lurker here, and haven’t contributed much. I’ve always read these stories and felt a sense of longing, like I’ve been missing out on something new. Honestly, I never thought I would contribute anything—however I’m so happy to tell you I was WRONG.
Fuck, just trying to type this out gives me jitters. It happened a couple weeks ago, and the more I’ve thought about it, the more I realized I need to write this down to remember it for the future. This is a bit of a long story, so if you don’t care to read the back story, skip down to the part that says THE DANCE FLOOR. For obvious reasons, this is a throwaway account. Also, I did the best I could to paraphrase the dialogue, but I couldn’t quite remember everything that was said verbatim.
