I’m not gay, i swear.

Can guys respond too?

Being a man is a lot of things. For me, i prefer a man that isn’t afraid to take control of a situation. Personally, i am a little bit submissive when it comes to confrontation, so it is really comforting for me to have a man that is willing to take charge and do what he knows is right. I actually have a good example.

The other day, my really good friend and i were just getting done shopping at Bed Bath and Beyond, because hey! Who doesn’t love smelling good? We were holding hands, (we are close, not gay) on the way out and to put it in perspective, i am about 6’5″ 200 lbs and he is 6’3″ 185 or so. Some guy walking into the store sees us holding hands and calls us faggots.

Now, i am pretty non-confrontational when it comes to these sorts of things. I am totally fine just brushing him off and going on with my day. In the end, he is a sad, angry man who is projecting his insecurities onto us. But my hunky friend tells the guy off and begins with this whole diatribe of people like him hating what they don’t understand. The man doesn’t back down, but leaves the argument throwing slurs at us.

Fucking the girl of my dreams.

It was late on a Friday night when i texted her. Sitting alone in my room with the light off and an empty bottle of wine next to me.

"Hey do you want to come over for some cuddles and maybe a movie?"

My heart raced as it took her time to respond. This was the second time that i had made a pass at her, but the first time that i had ever done it sober*. The last time that we crossed paths was at a friends pool party. I showed up and swam and smoked a bit with some friends. Everyone at the party had a pretty good buzz going on.

Those of us who were closest to the party thrower stayed latest. Too drunk to drive, he insisted that we stay over. As i lay falling asleep on his couch, i looked across the room and saw her lying there, twiddling her thumbs.

"H-hey… you still u-up?," i hiccuped and slurred. She looked over at me, almost surprised, "Yeah," she quietly muttered.
