Some of my friends have encouraged me to submit some of my antics from my “honeymoon “, I hope I don’t disappoint.
My wife and I got married when we were really young. I was 23 and she had just turned 21, but that happens in the military. Being in the Air Force and having a civilian wife made sure I didn’t have the time to take her on a proper honeymoon. After the military, we both went straight into college. I went for an undergraduate degree and she went to professional school (I won’t say which one because I know we have friends that read this). I finished my undergrad in two years, thank you military discipline, and she was going into the part of her program where she would have no time at all. I worked throughout undergrad, had several scholarships, and used the post 9/11 GI bill, so we had saved up enough money to have a cheap honeymoon. I was playing with the numbers and found that we could backpack Europe if we didn’t indulge ourselves too much.
