I had to tell someone about this so I made another reddit account haha.
I have been with my gf (lets call her Jess for this) for just over 5 years and a few years ago we moved in together. Her best friend (she’ll be Dana) lives out of town and had taken time off for something that ended up being canceled. Dana mentioned that she could come visit us since she already had the time off work. Jess was a bit hesitant because it was super short notice and she wasn’t sure if she’d be able to get her shifts covered (she works in the evening). I told Jess it was fine because I knew she missed her bestie and I didn’t mind hanging out with her while she was working since we got along pretty well and whatnot (a super genuine offer at the time, I may add).
