We took a trip together. Adventure always brought us closer together, and this seemed like as good an opportunity as any to have some fun. We camped at this little grounds, a winding driveway meandering throughout clusters of trees, sequestering each spot for tents and vehicles. Many camper vans and RV’s took up space, families with kids and dogs. It was a pleasant environment, no doubt, but the weather disagreed with our presence.
Not just hot, but humid. The moisture in the air never dissipated, the outdoors was a sauna. Not only that, but rain came down incessantly. Sweating through even the lightest summer clothes, we embraced the rain and escaped to the one thing we could enjoy thoroughly in these conditions; the pool.
We spent most of each day in the outdoor pool. Getting rained on while swimming is a different kind of enjoyment. Thankfully, because of the rain most other guests of the campground remained inside of their housing, leaving the pool vacant for our leisure.
