The other day I had an errand to run in the morning and my boss had agreed I could just come to work late and make up my time after hours. It was a pain to be late home but I looked on the bright side in the knowledge the train would be quite empty rather than the usual packed squabble for a seat and in the heat of the summer that would be a God send.
Once on the train I settled down in a window seat with the notion I could rest my head against the window and catch a power nap. There were even less people on the train than I expected. Perhaps many were pulling a sickie to make the most of the hot sun. There was just myself, a group of people at the other end of the carriage who were busy chatting and a couple on the opposite side and facing me but a few rows back. They were mostly obscured by the seats but I could see a bit through the gap.
