SLAM!
He awoke, sat bolt upright in the bed, heart pounding, sweat dripping from his face. “the fuck was that?” he thought to himself as he laid back down. “I swear I felt the bed shake. Hmm…” Jason looked over at his bedside table. The clock that he just bought that day read 3.45AM. “Why in gods name did my body decide it was a good idea to wake up at 3.45AM? and why is it so hot tonight!” Jason lived in Sydney, Australia where summer nights can hit upwards of 80 degrees, and were considered normal.
“Oh my god! AAhhhhh” Jason heard the first whimpers of what was going to be a very long night…
“Really? The Neighbors? AGAIN? this is the second time this week! and its only Wednesday! Jason got up out of bed and shut his window. The apartment block was known for this type of problem. Whenever anybody on the ground floor brought someone home, everybody else always knew about it. Then the squeaking started, almost mesmerizing, as if it was coaxing Jason to sleep. “Squeeak… squeeak… squeeak… Jason knew it was the bed. His bed made the same noise whenever he managed to score.
