So I posted this randomly in another place and the response was so good I thought I would type it out. I was 18 at the time and dating a guy in a very close town next to mine. We went to different high schools but lived not far from each other. It was a typical high school boyfriend/girlfriend thing. We fooled around when we could, and neither of us was a virgin when we started dating.
So this particular tale started when I was over at his house just watching a movie. His mom needed him to go clean the trash where the dog had gotten into it and spread it across the front yard. He went and did it, but he left his phone on the table. Not long after he left, a text came through. “Hey, babe, you can sneak out tonight?” from SM. I never had any reason to think he was cheating on me at all. I fought back tears. I was just in shock. Before he came back, I told his mom that I’d started my period and needed to go home. That was the only thing I could think of at the time.
