She texted me “Happy Thanksgiving.”
I hadn’t spoken to her in weeks. I broke up with her earlier that semester. I didn’t think much of the text and wished her a happy thanksgiving too. She was visiting family in Vermont and I was at home in Miami. After texting for a little bit, we realized we were both going to be in NY. We decided that we should meet up in NY and then catch a ride together to our university.
When I arrive in NY, we both met up at the hotel so I could drop off my stuff. The first thing I noticed was the queen size bed. I thought she was going to get two twin beds, like we had agreed earlier. I had no intention of doing anything with her. She said this was the only room they had left.
We meet up with one of my other friends from college. We go to their party and have a blast. We drink. We smoke. And we are both pretty cross faded at this point. We decide to go back to the hotel room.
