It was an unusually cold winter morning, a group of 4 Europeans enter my bed and breakfast, requesting for an early check-in. All of them seemed to be in their late 20s, jolly in nature. I showed them their rooms, which were not very fancy but warm and comfortable, with the windows providing an amazing view of desert.
They all checked in, freshened up and went for the city tour and desert safaris. In evening we had a cultural show at terrace with everyone interacting and warm tea. As it got darker, tea was replaced by the good old Rum.
We talked about our experiences in different cities and countries. Slowly one by one the crowd got thinner. Around 11:30 pm, it got too cold for everyone and except 2 of the 4 European girls, everyone else left. I got us 2 blankets, one for me and they both shared 1. They were Italians, and were in my country for 2 months of backpacking. We kept drinking and singing till late.
