Aiden and Charlotte were walking towards the front door of the Dollar Tree, humming along to “Holly Jolly Christmas” when he noticed a green and red sprig hanging from the ceiling. “Charlotte, stop where you’re at and look straight up,” he said. Her neck craned upwards to see the mistletoe dangling from the rafters right in front of the door.
“Oh goddammit, Aiden. We’ve been over this. I’m not going to kiss you. It would completely ruin our friendship and…”
Her words drowned out as he stayed locked onto her dreamy, brown eyes, like an ocean of chocolate pudding being illuminated by a sun of cheap spotlights. *Goddamn she’s beautiful.
