This happened last summer.
Pertinent background for this story… I(M30) had moved to a suburb of the big city in my state and bought my first house. When house searching, I gave my realtor my list of needs/deal breakers and then added a bonus of an inground pool if possible. Growing up we never had a pool and only made it to the lake at most 2x a summer so I thought why not try to have a pool. I was single and thought it could be fun.
I closed in November and was moved in completely by January. That first year and summer were a blur getting settled in, being a new homeowner and the money pit that comes with it and then on top of that, learning to how to maintain a pool. I was overweight and out of shape so the perks I imagined of having a pool did not quite materialize.
